Nothing tastes better than fresh seafood, unless you’re eating that fresh seafood in Vancouver at an outdoor fish stand called Go Fish across the harbour from Granville Market Public Market.
Go Fish is a Vancouver treasure. They make the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. My father who was a fish and chip expert gave their Halibut and Chips 5 out of 5 Stars! (my mom who is really picky gave it 5 out of 5 too!) I think the secret is they use the freshest fish possible and they fry all of their food in heart healthy canola oil.
If you love oysters try their Oyster Po’Boy. Big tender succulent oysters in a bun served with Cole slaw.
If you don’t live in Vancouver the next time you visit the jewel of the West Coast get yourself over to Go Fish – you’ll thanks me.
Hi Mairlyn,…I’m not sure when I’ll be able to make the 3000 mile trip to “Go Fish” for a fish taco I know I can get a copy of “Health Starts Here” to find your recipe for salmon tacos….
Thanks for the info on Go Fish,…enjoy your day 🙂
Rick
Thanks for the ‘Go Fish’ tip Mairlyn. As usual it takes a Torontonian to tell us Vancouverites what available in ‘our town’ – and we are glad you do. We’ll head down there next week!
Hi Marilyn
I agree Go Fish is an amazing place to eat. In fact I am chef Matt Christie’s mom, so when he comes home to Toronto I get to enjoy his creations!! I have watched you on Cityline for a number of years and just discouvered your website and blog. I love your recipies.
